SCA and Coffee Technician's Guild

March 04, 2017 - News

Sproparts Team Members, Kevin Colello and Ann Halsne, are the newest members of the Coffee Tech Guild.

Kevin and Ann began working together 12 years ago, at ESI in Seattle. Kevin stayed on through Franke Coffee Systems and LaMarzocco while maintaining a level of Purchase and Parts Expertise known to all.  Ann left Franke Coffee Systems to lead Sales growth at Synesso for 7 years until the opportunity to work with Kevin again arose.

The band is back together.....

It is our hope to help technicians in our community by providing a necessary resource for repair parts, easy to find repair information through schematics, and a support system through discussions. It is important for the industry to have the necessary parts in the US market, and to help one another be able to support customers.  We are dedicated to this industry, and although Sproparts is a new company in the Pacific Northwest, it will do its best to provide a positive benefit to the industry we love.

We hope to help the CTG by creating a new and restored passion for helping customers. In the end, Great coffee is just the sum of its parts. We are honored to be part of it.

“The CTG is an official trade guild of the Specialty Coffee Association dedicated to supporting the coffee industry through the development of professional technicians. The CTG strives to be the voice of technicians within the coffee community. Founded in 2016, the guild is now welcoming its first members and hopes to create a community of technicians who can provide mutual support and knowledge, as well as provide opportunities to develop skills and learn best practices. ”

“Regardless of whether you’ve been a technician for 20 years or are just getting started in the industry, participation in the guild will undoubtedly aid in your success and inspiration throughout your career.”
